Middenduin in the winter

At the beginning of this year I was part of an exhibition for the first time in my life. The happy occasion was that my photo club reached the age of 90┬álast november and to celebrate that we had the opportunity to show our work in The Noord-Hollands Archief, a beautiful building where the history is archived of the province I live in. The theme of the exhibition was “My Noord-Holland”.

Where do you find your models? I seem to find them in the street where I live. This time Erna agreed to pose for me and again it was a fun experience. My hometown

The street where I was born will be demolished later this year to make place for new houses. I got the opportunity to visit my place of birth just after the last residents left to make some pictures. I once had a whole project in mind to document the entire street before it was gone, but it never took of.

Girls from the hood

In August I did a great photoshoot at the place of my friends Maarten and Nathalie in the street where I live. The models were their three beautiful daughters: Tessel, Amenida and Roemer. Nathalie approached me for the shoot and she had a lot of nice ideas about the styling and clothing and I must say: I’m impressed! Her ideas really worked out great. It was a nice collaboration and a nice shoot.

Sunday at NDSM Amsterdam

At sunday February 23th I participated in a trip to NDSM in Amsterdam at the north bank of the IJ river. NDSM is the historical remainder of the largest shipyard in Amsterdam, now developing itself into a creative city. It’s a very photogenetic place where a lot is going on.
